Rent is past due when the clock strikes midnight on the day that it is due. If you are a tenant of mine, that day is the first of the month. Here are some tips for paying your rent on time:
- Set up automatic billing. (This is possible through your portal on Propertyware)
- Set a monthly reminder on your phone or computer.
- Have your savings account as a backup.
- Think about your credit score, it can suffer if you don't pay rent on time.
- Think about the late fees, they add up.
